When Avengers: Infinity War was first announced, it was hyped up as a two-part movie, with both installments boasting the Infinity War subtitle. However, Marvel scrapped those initial plans, keeping the third Avengers film Infinity War and giving the fourth film a new title. Well, they’ve been extremely tight-lipped about that mysterious new title, but a new report on a cinematographer’s website may have just revealed, finally, what the film will be called.
Cinematographer Trent Opaloch is known for working on directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s Marvel movies. He previously worked on Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War. According to the credits on his website, he also worked on Avengers 4, which he lists as Avengers: End Game (via Omega Underground).
While this title has yet to be confirmed, it does have a lot of weight behind it, considering its source. However, Joe Russo previously indicated the Avengers 4 title wasn’t spoken in Infinity War. “End Game,” of course, was said by Doctor Strange in the film’s third act.
Avengers 4 will release on May 3, 2019.
