Writer Donny Cates will return to Thanos following his run on the Mad Titan’s solo-title for a one-shot entitled Thanos Legacy.
Thanos Legacy will be drawn by artist Brian Level, and will serve as a tie-in to Infinity Wars, answering questions about Thanos editor Jordan D. White says will remain following the release of Infinity Wars Prime on July 25.
Thanos Legacy is a kind of thematic sequel to the ‘Thanos Wins’ storyline that Geoff Shaw and I created. It follows the missing time from the end of Thanos’ journey at the end of everything to…well, you’ll see,” Cates told Marvel.com. “It’s an absolute blast to step back into the Mad Titan’s story and to give voice to my favorite monster again. If you dug ‘Thanos Wins’, this is a story you won’t want to miss! Things are about to get brutal again.”
Infinity Wars writer Gerry Duggan will also write a story for Thanos Legacy, which will focus on the relationship between Thanos and a new antagonist Requiem, who will debut in the upcoming crossover.
